“The Dream Makers 2” ended its run some time back. This post is delayed because I’ve been feeling a little under the weather recently. It started with a really bad throat inflammation which later developed into a cough that went on for another 2-3 weeks. I’ve been quite caught up with filming for another drama as well and it just so happens, the title of my new drama is “The Dream Job”.
In any case, it’s the lunar new year and I finally get a few days rest to really allow my body to recover. Sometimes, all the body needs is ample rest, and lots of water. Now that I’m much better, I thought I would post a little on Zhao Fei-er.
She’s evolved into a very sad character over the second series of this drama. But since it’s the new year, I wanted to share something happier and that’s the trip to Australia, Melbourne. A change in scenery does everyone some good!
Some of you may recognize some of the places here, they appeared in my cover shoot with I-weekly. I have to say that that was one extremely heartfelt interview, and I’m truly blessed with having a reporter who bothered to listen and understand my exact emotions at that point in time.
I enjoyed the times when I had my camera on hand, taking snaps of the things I saw, in my point of view. I enjoy the control I have over the things that I photograph. It’s something that I hope to do eventually, move behind the camera.
This trip lifted my spirits in some way, despite the heavy emotional burden I carried with me. I love travelling to scenic places, I would love to take a road trip somewhere, if you have any suggestions, do leave a comment below.
I don’t take to the cold very well, especially when strong winds start its work in such a chilly climate. The most memorable part of this filming trip, would be having to go into this pond which was waist high, in 10degrees weather. The water should be much colder than that, because the moment I stepped into the water, my legs went numb. The moment I had to reach in to pick something up (filming requirement), my hands went numb too. I had a fever that night, so I guess, this is something I will remember for quite some time.
Melbourne is a beautiful place, and there were many beautiful moments for me that made me happy. I was also working with a production team that took extremely good care of me. Moments like that has to be cherished, life’s wonders never fail to make me smile.
Here’s a video for all of you. Enjoy… and Happy Lunar New Year!

Try this for your road trip:

It should be a safe place to travel in Europe today, very peaceful as population size is small and people are very friendly. Weather should be manageable albeit a bit hot during summer, would not be as hot as Singapore during the evening time.
Wishing you love and light, Jean!
Indeed, Melbourne is a lovely place. I feel in love with it since day 1. I have never been to a road trip, but would be nice to hear you share yours in the future.
Hey Jeanette, it’s been some time… I am so glad to be able to access your writing, and it’s really nice to know that you are thinking of road trips. I took one last year as part of my graduation trip, thought of sharing it with you… It’s to the Scottish Highlands (Fort William –> Inverness via Highway A82)
The view won’t disappoint you, and I hope you really do consider giving it a go too! BTW, Happy Lunar New Year, and may you enjoy good health and happiness, as always 🙂
